Product Care & Warm Weather Shipping Policy
At Le Feu Skin, we are committed to creating products that are 100% natural and free from harmful synthetic chemicals. We do not use synthetic stabilizers, and our light, fluffy body whip and balms are formulated without beeswax.
Because of this, our products are naturally sensitive to temperature changes.
Warm Weather & Melting
During hot weather, products may soften or melt while in transit due to warm delivery trucks, mailboxes, or outdoor temperatures.
To help prevent this, we use insulated packaging and additional cooling packs during the summer months. Most orders arrive in excellent condition; however, melting is a natural reaction to heat, and unfortunately, we cannot control shipping or delivery conditions.
This is similar to the challenges faced by companies that ship fine chocolates during warm weather.
When Your Order Arrives
On warm or sunny days, please place your products in the refrigerator before opening the jars. If a product has melted, opening it immediately may cause it to spill.
Please note: Melting does not affect the quality, effectiveness, or healing benefits of our products.
How to Revive Your Body Whip
If your Body Whip has melted, simply place it in the refrigerator to solidify.
While the product's benefits remain unchanged, the texture will be different. Instead of a light, whipped consistency, it may become more like a body balm. You can try a frother to whip the melted product back up if you'd like.
Whipping incorporates tiny air bubbles into the product (similar to whipped cream), creating a lighter texture and greater volume. When the product melts, those air bubbles collapse, causing the volume to decrease. As a result, a jar that was originally filled to the top may appear only partially full after melting, even though very little product has actually been lost.
Shipping Policy
To receive 2-day shipping and extra cooling packs, you must select an upgraded shipping option at checkout.
- If your order melts and you selected standard shipping, we are unable to offer refunds or replacement shipments.
- If you selected upgraded shipping and your order still melts, please contact us at hello@lefeuskin.com. We will provide a discount code toward the purchase of a replacement jar.
- Overnight shipping is available upon request for an additional shipping charge.
